Tapping on the drum introduces the alphabet in both English and Spanish with music and interactive play features. There are three modes, music, dance and alphabet with lights letters and music to keep your child entertained for hours while improving his letter and musical skills. The LeapFrog Learn & Groove Alphabet Drum is tough and durable to stand up to the attentions of a lively child and there is a volume control (not always found on musical toys!) Quote: ‘My recently one year old twin grandsons love this toy. It far exceeded my expectations. The graphics are great for the alphabet and they enjoy the dancing figure with the music.’ and ‘This is a cute and wonderful tool for babies and toddlers. The age specifies 6 mo. and older; however, I believe it is a little too advance for 6 month-year olds. The item should probably change that to 1-yr and older instead.’

Some parents didn’t like the singing voice and found it irritating although children don’t seem to mind it and some people found that when the child uses it as a drum it’s a bit soft and hard to hear.
